After the Rain

We had 140ml of rain last night and our little river has grown in size and speed.





The kiwifruit didn't mind in the least and continues to grow well.



The clouds continue to hide our view of the Kaimais.



But the sun is coming out and the wind is blowing the clouds and rain away so we just may get another lovely day.

Happy New Year

We saw new year in with friends near Matata. Bed at 3am but no hangover. What a bonus.

Marty and I spent the New years day on Matahina dam searching for trout. No luck but we had a lovely day out.



We pretty much had the lake to ourselves.



The fishing wasn't great.



But the scenery and quiet was.



Last night we went fishing in the harbour. Lovely fresh snapper and Tarakihi today. Yummee
